Driving a vehicle while using a mobile device

An operation was carried out in Elstree Hill North recently, targeting motorists using mobile phones while driving. 

In the space of an hour, eight people were seen and stopped. They were issued with Traffic Offence Reports (TORs).

Using a mobile phone while driving is one of the main causes of road traffic collisions and features among the ‘fatal four’, alongside speeding, not wearing a seatbelt and driving under the influence of drink and/or drugs.
